More NewsThe Christian Century featured Baylor Collaborative on Faith and Disability Program Director Jason Le Shana and disability ministry leader Bill Gaventa in a conversation exploring the importance of multisensory worship and embodied belonging within the church. Drawing from their collaborative resource, Worship for the Whole Body, the interview highlights how worship practices that engage movement, touch, sound, visuals, and participation can deepen belonging for people with and without disabilities alike.
Twelve Baylor University professors have been honored with Outstanding Faculty Awards for their exceptional teaching, scholarship and contributions to the academic community for the 2025-26 academic year. Two of the professors honored this year, Gospel Kim and Grant Morgan, serve as faculty affiliates of the Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing.

The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing played a significant role at the 2026 Disability and the Church Conference, held April 20–23 at McLean Bible Church in Washington, D.C. Hosted by Key Ministry, the national conference convenes annually to inspire and equip pastors, ministry leaders, advocates, parents, caregivers, and people with disabilities working to build more accessible and supportive church communities.
