Impact
The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing advances research, partnerships, and programs that improve lives and strengthen communities. We pursue new scientific discoveries, prepare effective practitioners and leaders, and equip schools, workplaces, and congregations to welcome every person impacted by disability. By promoting accessibility, inclusion, and belonging, our work is helping communities flourish together.
Through this work, we are advancing five bold impact areas:
- Research and Scholarship — Leading interdisciplinary studies, developing evidence-based practices, and building national collaboratives.
Faith and Disability — Equipping congregations and faith-based schools with resources, training, and vision to widen their welcome.
Transformative Education — Preparing Baylor students to be advocates for disability inclusion and accessibility within their chosen professions and communities.
Building Belonging— Modeling accessible practices at Baylor’s campus and developing innovative programs for students with intellectual disability.
Supporting Families— Families find practical resources, supportive connections, and a community of care.
