Flourishing Futures Workshop Series
The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing hosts a comprehensive workshop series specifically geared toward parents, youth, and young adults. It is designed to provide valuable resources, support, and guidance for individuals and families navigating the transition to adulthood. These events aim to empower individuals with developmental disabilities by offering practical tools, informative presentations, and engaging discussions on topics such as self-advocacy, life skills, career exploration, and community involvement. With a focus on fostering independence and enhancing quality of life, the workshops create an inclusive space for learning, growth, and connection within the community.
Behavior Management Strategies
- Are you a parent of a child with autism? Do you want to learn behavior management strategies? The Center is hosting an eight-week parent support group.
- Session topics include: Behavioral Principles, Prevention Strategies, Daily Schedules, Reinforcement, Planning Ignoring, and Functional Communication Training
- When offered, this series is held weekly for 8 consecutive weeks.

Spanish Parent Support Group
The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing offers a monthly support group for Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers of children with disabilities. Each gathering includes dinner and an informational session with relevant resources.
