Belonging Together, Flourishing Together TEDx Talk
What if society moved past inclusion and focused on belonging? For people with disabilities, belonging means more than being present, it means being invited, welcomed, known, accepted, supported, heard, befriended, needed, and loved. By practicing these ten dimensions of belonging, communities can move from living near one another to truly living with one another, creating spaces where everyone can flourish together.
Center Executive Director Erik Carter delivered his talk, Belonging Together, Flourishing Together at Baylor University’s inaugural TEDxBaylor University “Innovation in Deeds” event on November 8, 2025. The presentation highlights how disability inclusion strengthens communities and makes flourishing possible for all. His invitation reflects the growing impact of our Center’s work to foster belonging in schools, congregations, workplaces, and communities. Watch the talk:
