Center to Host Annual “Starry Night” Inclusive Holiday Celebration
The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing will host Starry Night, an inclusive annual holiday celebration in partnership with The Arc of McLennan County and the Heart of Texas Autism Network (HOTAN). The event will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 6–9 p.m. at the Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center.
This free community event includes dinner, dancing, holiday activities, Santa visits, and raffle giveaways. A dedicated sensory room, staffed by trained volunteers, will be available to ensure a comfortable and welcoming space for guests who may benefit from a quieter environment.
The event is open to the public and for many families, Starry Night has become a deeply meaningful tradition.
“Our family looks forward to this event every year,” shared one parent of a child with autism. “It’s a chance to attend a formal event without having to choose between family time or leaving the kids with a sitter. We love that this event welcomes everyone.”
This event offers a unique inclusive opportunity for the Waco community to come together and celebrate the joy of the Christmas season together.
“Starry Night continues to be one of our most cherished traditions,” said Center Director Kristen Padilla. “It is more than just a holiday event—it’s a reminder of the beauty of community and inclusion.”
