Assessment Services
The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing (BCDF) is offering assessment services. These assessments involve the administration of psychological measures to answer a specific referral question involving social, emotional, cognitive, or academic functioning. After testing is complete, the family will be provided with a comprehensive report of the assessment results, including any diagnoses.
Who: Children and adolescents between the ages of 3-17 years of age. Assessments can be used to look at symptoms associated with developmental disabilities and related concerns. For example, assessments can be used to investigate concerns related to:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Other social, emotional, or educational difficulties
When: Assessments are offered during the fall and spring semesters. A complete assessment involves an intake interview and a full day of testing, generally lasting 2-5 hours, as well as a follow-up feedback meeting to discuss results. A full assessment costs $500. Insurance is not accepted but sliding scale fees are available for families with financial need.

Assessment services not offered at the BCDF: custody evaluations, mental status and/or court mandated psychological evaluations, alcohol and drug evaluations, medication/medical management services, hospitalization services and in-patient care, expert witness testimony, and sexual abuse forensic evaluation and interviews.
