ABA Severe Problem Behavior Program
The Severe Problem Behavior Program supports caregivers in understanding and managing their child's problem behaviors. This is a two-part program that consists of assessment and intervention based in the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The purpose of the assessment is to determine the reason a behavior is occurring (i.e., function). Based on the results of the assessment, an individualized intervention is created to reduce the problem behavior and promote replacement behaviors.
Client Qualifications: The program services children ages 2 to 7 years diagnosed with a developmental disability who engage in any of the following problem behaviors: aggression, self-injury, property destruction, tantrums. Children who have engaged in problem behavior that has resulted in an injury to self or others that required medical intervention may be referred to a more intensive support program.
