Church Stories: Learning from Parents of Children and Youth with Disabilities

- We are eager to talk with parents of children and youth with disabilities about their family’s experiences in church.
- We want to know what has gone well and what could be better.
- We want to learn what churches could do to better welcome children with disabilities and support families like yours.
This information will help us create new resources that churches and parents can use to help children with developmental disabilities grow in their faith.
We are only interviewing parents whose children with disabilities who are between the ages of 5 and 21. The interview will last about 60-90 minutes. It can take place in person or on Zoom at a time that works well for you. It can be done alone or with your spouse. Parents will receive a $50 gift card for completing the interview.
We want to hear from parents who currently attend church (in-person or online), are seeking a church, are struggling to find a church, or have even left the church. Your church story can be positive, negative, or anywhere in between. We expect to hear a wide variety of stories!
