Professional Online Learning Community for Behavioral Specialists

February 13 - December 13, 2025
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Baylor Center for Disabilities and Flourishing invites Central Texas behavior specialists and behavior coaches to a virtual launch event for a new Professional Learning Community (PLC) focused on strengthening behavior support practices in public schools.

This virtual gathering will provide space to discuss the realities of day-to-day behavior challenges faced by school-based professionals, alongside a review of what current research tells us about effective, sustainable behavior support. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on common barriers, and consider how evidence-based practices can be applied within the complex contexts of today’s schools.

During the session, the Center will also introduce its vision for an ongoing monthly PLC designed specifically for school behavior support professionals. This community will emphasize collaboration, practical problem-solving, and professional support—creating a consistent forum to learn together, share strategies, and reduce isolation in this critical role.

Behavior professionals across Central Texas are encouraged to join us as we build a collaborative network focused on promoting positive, proactive, and skill-based approaches to student behavior.
