Behavior Support Professional Learning Community
The Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing invites Central Texas behavior specialists, educators, coaches, and school support professionals to join the next session of its Behavior Support Professional Learning Community (PLC) on May 12 from 3:30–4:30 p.m.
This month’s session will focus on Effective Classroom-Based Coaching and is designed for anyone who supports staff implementation in school settings—including behavior support staff, teachers who mentor peers or paraprofessionals, and paraprofessionals serving in coaching roles.
During the session, participants will explore:
- What effective classroom coaching looks like in practice
- Strategies for supporting implementation of PBIS practices
- How to provide clear, actionable, and attainable feedback
- Ways to build buy-in and strengthen implementation
- Approaches to supporting adults in order to improve student outcomes
This collaborative PLC provides a space for professionals to share ideas, reflect on current practices, and strengthen coaching systems across classrooms. Participants will leave with practical strategies and renewed support for advancing positive, proactive, and skill-based approaches to behavior support in schools.
