Kristen Davis, CCP-SLP

Kristen Davis is a nationally board-certified specialist in child language and a clinical assistant professor at Baylor University in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders where she teaches an undergraduate course and is a clinical educator for graduate students within the residential program. She earned her bachelor's degree at University of Houston where she double majored in Communication Disorders and Psychology before earning her master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University. She is currently pursuing her PhD with a focus in cultural responsivity and pedagogical practices.
Kristen has a passion for all things literacy and understands the importance of providing children access to books and resources. Her research interests include the link between language and literacy, pedagogical practices in speech pathology, and cultural responsiveness in therapy sessions. Prior to working in higher education, she worked as a school-based speech/language pathologist for over ten years within title one schools.
Kristen grew up in San Antonio, where her father served within the Air Force. In 2010, she made her way to the Waco area where she currently resides. In her free time, you can find her reading, watching movies, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and twin boys.
